William Peace & Sons were publishers in Kirkwall. They published the Orkney Almanac from 1861 until at least 1939. The Orkney Herald, first published in 1860, was later edited and published by William Donald Peace (1860-1916) and perhaps earlier by his forebear. This stereoview of St Magnus’ Cathedral, Kirkwall is very faded and from its style likely dates to the 1860s.
