Crowe, Alexander
Stirling
Abbey Craig from Stirling Castle, Crowe, c.1870
The stereoviews of Alexander Crowe record mainly the region of Stirling, where he had a studio at 33 Murray Place from 1860-70. He exhibited portraits, landscapes and cartes-de-visite at the sixth Photographic Society of Scotland show in December 1861. Later he formed a partnership with Rodgers of Montrose (note that this is not Rodger of St Andrews).
